About Nancy Waring

Nancy Waring

Ms. Nancy Waring worked diligently with the Pioneer Bands for twenty-four years. For seven years she was also Associate Director of the Pioneer Orchestras, plus developed the content and taught the Music Technology class for fourteen years. She contributed to all of the eight Grammy recognitions bestowed on our Pioneer Music Department. She is proud to have encouraged involvement of thousands of students of all abilities in our internationally recognized music program.

As a high school student, Ms. Waring received a scholarship to tour Europe for five weeks with Musical Youth International. She would not have been able to participate in this life changing opportunity without scholarship help. It is her hope that this scholarship pays it forward to a deserving Pioneer Band student who might not have the same chance that she was given.
