PTO Thrift Shop
The Ann Arbor PTO Thrift Shop is open year-round. Its profits are distributed twice per year to Ann Arbor Public Schools organizations. Parents and students from the Pioneer Bands donate four hours of time per family at the PTO Thrift Shop. A portion of the proceeds is then awarded to the Pioneer Bands.
The student and parent set up schedules with the PTO Thrift Shop by calling 996-9155. It is important to set your schedule early in the school year, as often there are too many workers and space runs out! NOTE: The PTO thrift shop has changed their sign-up policy. July sign-up has already begun: you may sign-up 5 weeks in advance but only in person, you do not have to wait until the first of each month to choose shifts for the next month and no more lottery.
The PTO Thrift Shop is a required fundraising activity for each Band Student. If a student does not want to donate time to the PTO Thrift Shop, in lieu of 4 hours of time donated to the Thrift Shop, the student will be asked to donate $40.00 to the Pioneer Bands.
