Week Up North Getaway
The Juniper Hill cabin looks across Long Lake at a pristine undeveloped shore- line belonging to our national trust,the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. It’s a rustic single story cottage set on a hill overlooking Long Lake, a 365 acre inland lake. Turtles, frogs, warblers, loons, owls and an abundance of other wildlife provide good company for the naturalist visitor. A week at Juniper Hill provides a perfect take off point if you like to bike or walk, seek water views or tour northern Michigan’s villages and scenic rural life. Located less than a mile north of Crystal Lake on Scenic Highway 22 within the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, highlights include two bedrooms that sleep up to 5 (queen master futon, twin bunk beds, vintage fold-out twin cot); one bathroom; living room; simply equipped kitchen; and aluminum canoe, two-person kayak, and grill.
