I just talked to our bookkeeper, Daryl Hurst. Watch for an email invoice this weekend (Sept 18-20) which will allow you to pay by credit card if you would like.

Mr. Leach and I will meet Monday to set the updated payment schedule and get the rest of the forms on track for the October 20th Mandatory Tour Meeting.

Travel insurance payments are made out directly to the travel insurance company you choose. “Travel Guard” is the company for which we have forms in the band room. I’ve sent an email to our Tour Contact asking for answers to some of the required info on the Travel Guard enrollment form, so I’ll get that out in another email as soon as I have it.

Thank you for your patience. We wanted to count as many votes as possible and understand the benefits and concerns so we can work toward as positive a tour experience as possible. The SB/JB families voted to continue plans to China.

The tour payment of $600 per participant is now due on Tuesday, September 22nd. You will be able to pay by check (Pioneer Band Association) or credit card. Click here for payment options and schedule information.

The basic, silver & gold Travel Guard “Protect Assist” insurance forms are available in the band room. You have 2 weeks from when you make your trip payment to buy the trip insurance, otherwise the coverage changes. The Descrition of Coverage is at this website:

Dear Tour Families:

Mr. Leach announced to your students today that we need to have a special SB/JB parent meeting due to the H1N1 “pandemic”. He’ll address the risks we’d be taking by continuing plans for travel to China, what travel insurance can and can’t do for us, and what our options are at this point.

Next Tuesday evening, September 15th, at 7:30pm we will have a condensed regular PBA meeting for all band parents immediately followed by the Special Tour Meeting for Symphony and Jazz Band parents in Schreiber Auditorium. Please plan to join us for the discussion.
